ANNOUNCED, not yet playing; Nebraska's August 24, 2026 athletics update moved the inaugural competitive season from spring 2028 to spring 2027. The school announced its first head coach in February 2026 and says the program has begun building its roster. Nebraska's own athletics site carries a flag football section, which confirms the program exists.
