NJSIAA's June 8, 2026 tournament-regulations proposal says members voted on May 4, 2026 to sanction girls flag football. The sport was provisional from 2022-23; the source reports more than 140 member schools and approximately 4,200 girls in 2024-25. Those historical participation figures are not a current count.
